This page explains MyHelper's role and the basic expectations when you use our housekeeper or babysitter search service. We offer a clearer process, not an instant-booking promise.

MyHelper's role

MyHelper helps with initial search, early screening, interview scheduling, and operational communication between families and helper candidates.

Candidate availability

Helper availability and fit depend on family needs, area, schedule, candidate information, and interview results.

Honest and relevant information

Families and helpers are expected to provide accurate information about area, schedule, tasks, experience, salary expectations, and other important needs.

Agreements before starting

Schedule, tasks, fee, salary, days off, and other important points are confirmed before the helper starts working.

No pressure after the interview

You do not have to continue if it does not feel like a fit after the interview. The decision stays with you.

One chat-unlock fee, with one free swap in 6 months

There is only one fee: the chat-unlock fee, paid once per request to start interviewing. There is no separate placement fee. While no candidate fits, the user can interview more candidates at no extra cost. Once a helper starts working, one free replacement is included within 6 months of the helper's first working day; further replacements are handled through support, subject to availability.

A direct working relationship with your helper

MyHelper is a search and matching service. It is not an employer, labor supplier, or party to the working relationship. The work agreement, including salary, schedule, and tasks, is made directly between the family and the helper. MyHelper is not a party to that agreement, and the actions of families or helpers are not legally binding on MyHelper.

Responsibility after the helper starts working

Once the helper starts working, day-to-day responsibility (including supervision, salary payments, workplace safety, and each party's conduct) rests entirely with the family and the helper. MyHelper is not liable for any loss, damage, or action by either the family or the helper after the working relationship begins. The 6-month guarantee still applies, but is limited to one round of help finding and interviewing replacement candidates.

Ending the job: one month's notice

Both the family and the helper give at least one month's notice before the last working day, through the app. Salary for days already worked is paid in full on the last working day. Nothing here reduces rights guaranteed by applicable law.

Helper cooling-off period after leaving

A helper who leaves a job cannot receive new offers through MyHelper for 30 days from the day notice is given. The period applies equally to every helper because MyHelper cannot verify whether notice was proper. MyHelper may lift it for a reasonable cause, such as safety or unpaid salary.

Dispute resolution

Disputes that arise after the helper starts working are resolved directly between the family and the helper. Where needed, MyHelper can help with communication or arrange a replacement candidate under the guarantee, but this assistance is voluntary and not a legal obligation of MyHelper.

Fees are explained before the process continues. If the interview time needs to change, cancel it from the interview page in the app, or message the helper in chat with a new time. The helper can reschedule it in the app.
